Clapton Football Club
Clapton F.C. let Newham u3a use the clubhouse for events and workshops. We look for ways to support them.
Your support, as always is very much appreciated – it’s what helps to keep Clapton going. If you would like to participate in some way to support the Club, then please consider volunteering for Clapton FC.
"CFC doesn’t look after itself. There’s always something to cut, paint, mend or tidy. Bring a bit of time and we’ll show you what needs doing.
Even an hour helps.
Matchdays need hands too, from putting up banners and welcoming supporters to packing away after the
final whistle.
Our shirts travel all over the world, and they’re packed by volunteers here in Forest Gate every week.
Good with video? Enjoy writing? Our comms volunteers would like to hear from you.
Everything here is run by volunteers.
Come and meet people, get some fresh air and help keep this corner of Newham going."
We currently need volunteers in the following roles:
- Groundsmen
- Kit man
- Bar staff
- Match day hospitality officer
- Match day announcer
- Match Day stewards
- Match Day ball boys and girls

A BIG THANK YOU TO OUR NEIGHBOURS
The Dog would not be what it is today without our neighbours’ support. Many of you have become members, volunteered behind the scenes and worked on restoring the ground.
If you’ve been watching the ground over the years, you’ll know how much has changed. It didn’t happen by itself, and there is still plenty to do.
Your support has given our women’s and men’s teams a home and helped us run children’s training throughout the year. Our women now play at tier 6. They made Women’s FA Cup history as the first tier 7 side to reach the third round proper. Thank you.
Come and visit us on a matchday too. If the place feels right to you, you can become a member and a part‑owner of the club and the ground. That usually leads to a few questions, which we’re always happy to answer.
