Membership of Newham u3a
We are open to anyone who is no longer in full-time employment who wishes to pursue creative, educational or social interests in the company of others. Details of activities can be found on the groups and events pages.
We hold a monthly meeting on the 1st Thursday of each month from 1:30 - 3:30 in Clapton Community Football Club clubhouse, Upton Lane, Forest Gate. We have a talk on a subject of interest and an opportunity to meet and socialise with other members. Tea, coffee and biscuits are served.
Newham u3a has been active for nearly two years and we currently have about 82 members.
Annual membership runs until the end of October and the subscription rate for this year is £15 for membership (or £10 if in receipt of benefits.) The annual fee includes an amount to cover national u3a costs so if you already belong to another u3a your new room membership subscription is reduced to £11.
