Gentleman Jack at Sadlers Wells Theatre

Last Thursday afternoon six members travelled to Sadlers Wells Theatre to see the ballet, Gentleman Jack, performed by the Leeds Ballet Company. It certainly didn’t disappoint and was enjoyed by all. It’s creative but simple staging, impressive costuming and choreography, accompanied by a poignant and haunting score invited us to reimagine the unconventional life of Anne Lister. And the standing ovation at the end was well earned. Thank you to Marie for organising such an enjoyable outing.
