Newham U3a Take First and Second in Quiz Night (and Still Managed to Disagree on a Few Answers!)

Last night, Newham U3A Quizzers and Friends entered two teams in the Golden Fleece Quiz Night. It was a fun evening with plenty of laughs along the way!

The Forest Greats were the only really consistent team on the night and were deserved winners. The rest of us had a few stinker rounds but enjoyed ourselves regardless.

Despite that, Newham U3A’s The Dry Danube finished in second place, giving us a fantastic 1st and 2nd overall!

London Region of U3As Walks and Gallery Visits

We are delighted to announce the next full programme of walks and gallery visits for September/October. All events are £10, no refunds.
The programme can be found on the events page of the website.

The sessions for September/October will launch on Thursday 20th August 2026 from 10.00

All of our walks/gallery visits have proved very popular and been fully booked almost as soon as advertised. So don't delay book up on launch day. There will of course be waiting lists for each session.

As members of Newham U3A you can access all the free events, workshops and talks covering a host of different subjects offered by the National U3A trust.
