Spring Visit to Queen Mary and the Novo Cemetery

We are pleased to invite you to a spring visit to Queen Mary University of London and the Novo Cemetery on Tuesday 14 April 2026.

We will meet outside Mile End Station at 10.30ambefore setting off on a walk around the campus, which is rich in East End history and full of fascinating landmarks. Along the way, we hope to take in the Novo Cemetery, the Queen’s Building, the People’s Palace and the Clock Tower.

The Grade II-listed Novo Sephardi Jewish Cemetery is especially lovely at this time of year, with bluebells in bloom. A small donation to the trustees towards the ongoing maintenance of the cemetery would be warmly appreciated, but it is entirely optional.

After the visit, there will be the option of lunch nearby at The Orange Room on Burdett Road for anyone who would like to continue the outing over good food and conversation.

Please reply to Sharon Fell if you would like to join us.
